Lib Dem By-election winner Sandra Gidley MP joined Sarah Teather on the campaign trail in Brent East. Sandra famously won the Romsey by-election from the Conservatives in 2000.

Sandra Gidley said, "There is real buzz in the campaign headquarters and on the streets. We are getting a terrific response on the doorsteps across Brent East. It is clear that local people are angry with years of Labour failures and broken promises."

"The signs are that the Brent East by-election will be a close finish between hardworking local campaigner Sarah Teather and Tony Blair's MEP from Surrey."
