Brent Liberal Democrats have today launched an S.O.S (Save Our Seven) campaign to save seven local post offices in Brent from closure. As part of the campaign local Liberal Democrats collected hundreds of local residents signatures across the borough. Local residents are up in arms that their local post offices are being closed and that these plans are supported by the Labour Government.

Local people are asking 'Now that Ken Livingstone has rejoined the Labour Party will he back Tony Blair's policy of supporting Post Office closures in Brent?'

Simon Hughes the Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London is backing the 'Save Our Seven' campaign. Simon Hughes is committed to preserving the local Post Office network in London.

Under Tony Blair's Labour Government one third of Post Offices are due to close. When the Conservatives were in power 4,000 local Post Offices closed. The Liberal Democrats are fighting on behalf of local people to keep our local Post Offices open.
