Sarah Teather lets local people have their say about the state of our area6.46.32pm UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 30th Nov 2004
Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather has launched a new opinion poll on her website inviting local people to have their say on the street cleaning and refuse collection services that Brent's Labour Council provides. Too often our area has been neglected by Labour, abandoned cars, graffiti and dumped rubbish blight Brent's streets. Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather is determined to tackle the grot and grime in our area. Brent East MP Sarah Teather said: "Too often local people are being let down by the Council and the services it fails to provide. Local residents pay a vast amount in Council Tax but are not seeing value for money. The neglect of our area by Labour is there for all to see. Abandoned cars, graffiti and dumped rubbish are all too common an occurrence in Brent. "I have lost count of the number of times that local people have come to me with complaints about missed refuse collections. The service people are getting from the Labour Council is just not good enough." You can see examples of Labour' s neglect http://www.brentlibdems.org.uk/photos/
