Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather visited the Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Willesden Lane this weekend for the temple's 30th Anniversary. His Holiness Acharya Shri Koshalendraprasadji Maharaj on his first UK trip as the 7th spiritual leader of the Shree NarNarayan Dev diocese also attended the Temple's celebrations.

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"The Temple has been a fantastic part of the community for the past 30 years. In my time as Brent East's MP it has always been an honour to attend the Temple and its functions.

"The Temple is not just a place of worship it is a cornerstone of our community. Just six months ago when the Tsunami affected so many thousands of lives, the Temple were quick to arranging a sponsored walk and giving aid.

"The effort that must have gone into arranging the festivities is unimaginable. Credit must be given to the Children whose dancing and singing was simply magical."
