'WRONG SIDE OF THE TRACKS' FOR BRENT COUNCIL - TEATHER

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather has today revealed that Brent Councils flagship 'wardworking' scheme is on the 'wrong side of the tracks'.

The Mapesbury 'wardworking' 8 page glossy newsletter for November features a picture of some shops on the Cricklewood Broadway. The only problem is that the shops are in Barnet and not in Brent!

Local Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather said:

"It is a pretty poor show if the local Council doesn't even know what's in its own borough.

"The Council seems to have got its priorities all wrong. Local residents want action not words. They want the Council just to get on with tackling the dumped rubbish, graffiti and abandoned cars that blight our streets.

"If the Labour Council spent as much time cleaning up our streets as it does in producing glossy leaflets, Brent would be much improved."
