Brent's health trust scored "weak" for both quality of service (which covers areas including safety of patients, cleanliness and waiting times) and use of resources. On "safety and cleanliness" the trust scored just five out of a possible twelve, less than half marks.
The news follows yesterdays admission that Brent's health trusts were amongst just 7% in the country that failed to meet minimum standards for their use of resources.
"This is a truly shocking report that shows the extent to which Brent's health service is letting down local people.
"The trust is failing on some vital areas, such as protecting children in their care, making sure people get fast access to a GP, and reducing the risk of hospital bugs like MRSA. It simply isn't acceptable that people in Brent have to put up with such appalling standards.
"Over the previous ten years the Labour Government have stood back and watched Brent NHS fall apart. Brent patients will be hoping that this devastating report finally shocks Ministers out of their complacency."
